Iron Grip: Marauders is a 3D Browser-Based MMOSG Strategy game, the first MMOSG ever to deliver true 3D visuals directly through your Internet browser.
 
In Iron Grip: Marauders you'll assume command of a horde of marauders with a simple goal: conquer and plunder villages for resources, then use the acquired supplies to obtain stronger units, and the conquered towns to expand your own marauder stronghold.
 
Iron Grip: Marauders takes place in a land called Kathos, an aristocratic country caught up in internal conflict. When the troops of the occupying Rahmos faction move towards the southern border in expectation of a pending war with Fahrong, entire regions are left unprotected. The action has attracted the attention of marauders: mercenary pirates whose ranks range from highly trained ex-military men to common thieves.
 
The main advantage of Iron Grip: Marauders is that the battles are experienced in real-time. Whereas the building and researching of units takes place in the control panel, the actual combat take place in a separate 3D window. This means that you can direct each unit individually on the battlefield -- a genre first for the Browser-Based MMOSG.
 
As is often the case, this complexity can seem a bit overwhelming in the beginning, but don’t let that throw you off. Not only can it be quickly overcome by following some of the tutorials in the control panel (which double as quests, offering rewards for completion and a nice chink of additional story), it becomes amazingly addictive after a couple of battles, once you've properly grasped the basic fundamentals of the gameplay.
Of course, as Iron Grip: Marauders is primarily a strategy game, the longer you play, the better you'll become. While it will only take a few battles for you to grasp the basics of combat, after a hundred you'll begin to see the opportunity for growth and progression on a skill-based level. As such, hardcore gamers will find a deep, long-lasting combat system that makes for a game that can be played for months on end.
 
Additionally, the producers have promised quite an intensive development schedule for the game. Many new features and units have been scheduled for introduction over the coming months; one of the most important is the integration of alliances. These alliances will be of great importance to complete quests or defeat opponents. As a result, the game will also evolve into more cooperative gameplay in the future, adding a new level of gameplay for the casual audience, too. Some more examples include: super weapons, extensive campaigns, additional factions and boss units.
 
Iron Grip: Marauders takes strategy gaming to the next level. While it's easy to lump it into the Browser-Based category, this would be a mistake. IGM is nothing if not a triumph of innovation: something new and exciting awaits you here, don't miss out.
